ride to cameroon highland

it was friday april the 9th. dato A and me start the journey to kemaman. our meeting point was at bistro beryani kemaman 930am for breakfast. Jai could not ride with us due to the death of his brother that wee morning. Al-Fatihah.
Azman (bmw rt), Kori(cbr 1000rr) and Zahidi (zx-10) from kemaman join us for breakfast and we begin our route planning. we did not do early discussion/planning pasal biasanya plan awal takkan jadi. pasti hampeh. its more in situ decision.
oh ya worth to mention dato B did join us for breakfast. rider with two bikes yet to materialize a single bike trip. dia x dapat join kerana banyak hals. kalau mention kat sini berjela2 hals dia boleh buat novel. muahaha...lepas ning kita gi plok neh...bowok bini masing2..
we all gerak@1030 am. destination kuala berang. chukai-ibok-sri bandi-ajil-k.berang. jalan dalam. we sampai k.berang @1130. we ride sikit lajulah. my left kasut gesek tar satu kali. korner kuat tu bang. (tapi tommy cakap dia gesek dua2 belah tak citer pong).
we thot nak belasah ikan baung and other sungai species but its too early. we are just too fast too furious. filled up the tank. ready for next ride. this time thru kenyir dam. i bought 2big bottled drinks and junk food. stuff them in my pannier (tong ais krim). we planned to lepak near tasik minum2 and take lot of pictures.
after turning left toward kenyir/KB from bandar k.berang, the road was a bit banyak korner small2 one, sharp2 one. Azman always in front follow by kori. zahidi 3rd and me 4th and dato A as sweeper. mishap! damn! the sharpest turn...i saw zahidi memoteng moteng terus ke dalam rok (overshoot, went to the pasir masuk bush controlling his bike..and release it and bedebam jatuh). it was scary yet i know he is going to be ok judging from his speed and off road clearance. encik zahidi fobia lah lepas tu. any way we all continue. the gutsy zahidi proceed still layan lap baikk... nampak scratch kat slider and below.

once we are on the kenyir-aring yet to warta road, the curves were lovely, lusty and many2 of them. we just layannn the corners. all dont give a damn about drink, lepak and pictures. its juz so adrenalling pumping, so sweet, doing 160km/h on the long curve while mengintai2 keindahan tasik/alam semesta. so lovely i cant describe in writing. arghh!!! there were lots of jalan runtuh and constructions too...we have to ride thru gravel an a bit tanah merah. but it juz add up to the thrill. rasa macam kat oversea lah bro..how i wish ada biri2 or horses melintas (tommy cakap lah).

The road become more challenging in term of kecik, short curves, gravels, tanah merah, constructions, felda tractors, once we hit felda Aring. Yet it juz fuel up our desire and hunger for thrill riding. that time i wish i ride with GS.

sampai gua musang. lunched. ride again. got separated. two groups. me azman and kori. (group anok beranak. azman is cousin. kori is my brother) while dato A and zahidi. gua musang to c.highland once again fabulous. lots of long corners and very panoramic, pictureuqe (betul ke eja ning?). but the road is bumpyor should i say beralun-alun. once i was struggling for grip. the bump right on the cornering line. i decided to change my suspension setting. setting on the fly bro. (nak bagitau RT gua boleh ubah2 suspension setting). we were hit by light rain few times but nothing much la.
5pm dah sampai cameroon kami meet up at starbak. apa lagi? green tea latte lah. sembang2 recap2 balik route tadi.
Zahidi punya sedara ada bungalow for homestay. so we stay there lah. kasi sedara dia business skit lah. ni hah motor park depan bungalow.luckyly ada plak '5siri' sebijik. apa lagi pinjam lah. so dinner kami berlima naik kereta lah. pusing2 jalan2 cari makan. makan jagung makan straberry makan ntah apa apa lagi. pi strawbery resort, pasal tommy and azman nak release tension. balik semula rumah 130am. tido.
pagi decided break fast atas bukit boh. jenuh layan corner naik bukit semata nak makan scorn. ni hah gambarsnya,aisey...cek email ke tommy? lagi ada meniaga ka? haiya..itu muncung kasi simpan lah...5 riders drinking tea having scorn for breakfast. discussion topic= damn best mat salleh mai negara kita jajah bukak ladang...pastu kita plak kijer untuk dia...pastu siap kena hormat dia plak tu....and also in situ planning route nak balik. ada gak suara2 nakal ajak pi haadyai....passport mana pah???@10am we ride back to exit Tapah. Jalan lama. Layan shot corner. Fantastic. So good i have to say it twice.....turun layan short corner baikk....best betul lah.
exit tangjung malim. layan korner batang kali and genting. dah rasa nothing dah. 2 kali foot kiri cecah jalan...hard corner babe. (tapi tommy cakap dia lagi banyak tak citer pong) (kori amik pic rear tayar. bangga..tayar bebulu makan keliling).
i sampai rumah 430pm.

ini satu citer kelakar. from gua musang to c.highland. tommy with zahidi. itu mr sweeper@tommy@dato A sudah sleepy lah. maklumlah depa ride up to 160 jer. tommy kena ride 180 above baru bermaya. so tommy sudah ngantuk macam baby mau tidor. he overtook zahidi signal for berhenti. stop je dia nak landing/ja'tuh stand, tak perasaan moto still moving. mamai la katakan. eh eh eh ah ah bedeping lah tip/jatuh. muahahaha...padam muka cakap orang...nah calar zx14 mung

p/s latest news. kori inform azman near missed kat cherating. azman was shaken and pail. can see the jacket trembling. it was really near missed. kete u-turn, he nearly hit it. that cherating area near petronas tu memang bahaya tu. slow2 lah abang man. we all love u.

next ride? same route bawa wife masing2. sapa2 solo pun bleh ikut gak. time? tunggu dato B balik europe trip.

next after next ride? hah hah jeng jeng. Koh Sah Moi bro.....
